Cooperative Extension has garden tour, info

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Las Vegas has scheduled some free teaching tours of its Demonstration Gardens. No need to register: just go to the courtyard at the Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road. 4/14 at 10 a.m.: Spring is here and desert plants come alive.

The Demonstration Gardens have over 500 species of desert appropriate landscape plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, palms, cacti, and agaves. They are identified by botanical and common names. The gardens are open for self-guided tours on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
