Youth range camp teaches about Nevada ecosystems UPDATE

Applications from high school students to attend the annual Nevada Youth Range Camp will be accepted through April 30. The camp will be held June 16-20 at the U.S. Forest Service's Big Creek Campground in central Nevada.

Instructors will be range management professionals ffrom state and national agancies. Students learn basic surveying and map reading, identification and importance of rangeland plants, evaluation of sagebrush and woodland ecosystems, wildlife surveying techniques, evaluation of stream health, and many other topics related to rangelands. There will also be some fun stuff.
