You can recycle used cooking oil UPDATE

Nov 30, 2015

The Clark County Water Reclamation District and the Springs Preserve are teaming up to collect cooking oil for recycling into biofuel through January 15. The collection site will be in the south ticketing parking lot and will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Using a funnel, carefully pour the used oil back into the original container. Seal the container and take it to the Springs Preserve.

The goal is to keep oil out of the sewer system, where it can cause problems. There's more information here.
